I must admit that the first few paragraphs had me wondering whether I would like this or not, but, after reading further, I became so engrossed I couldn't stop reading if I had wanted to. This was a perfect balance of the supernatural and the practical, and I loved it. I have always admired writers who could make a story complete while allowing the characters to not understand or explain everything that happens. You do that very well.
You also have an excellent grasp of Illya's character and voice. I could hear him speaking every line you wrote for him.
Oh, and the sex was hot, too!
