What a lovely, well-written piece. Thoughtful characterizations and believable dialogue. Followed a rec link from mfu_delflorias and am very glad to have done so.

This was a very thoughtful, well written piece. Napoleon's reluctance made sense in this story as did Illya's quiet, firm insistance that they move forward as a couple.

Thanks for sharing!

This is wonderful and I love that Illya succeeds in breaking through Napoleon's protective layer. You have captured every movement and gesture and word in such loving detail that one shares every feeling along with Illya and Napoleon, including the tension because it wasn't clear until the end that Illya would succeed. Brava!

Wonderful story! Just popped over from Livejournal on a rec at crack_van. Glad I did, as I very much enjoyed Illya's quiet persistence and Napoleon's quiet resistance. Nicely done.

Hooray, Illya as the aggressor! I imagine he'll take the lead in bed, too -- maybe that's the real reason Napoleon hesitates.... Just kidding. This gives a lovely little insight into these two tough guys.

Lovely story! I love how you gave us some insight into Napoleon's past---there are sooo many stories out there about Illya's past, it was nice to read about Napoleon's for a change.

Also, it was great to read a story about Illya wanting Napoleon for a change and not the other way around. I've come across so many stories where poor Napoleon is following Illya around like a lost puppy----Napoleon is gorgeous too!

This was great. I'm glad they worked it out in the end---their love is so strong!

This one always makes me sad. Illya wants him so badly and Napoleon is just so scared, so worried about losing Illya to the truth. Even though I know there's a happy resolution in the wings, it still makes me want to scope them up and talk some sense into at least one of them - Illya's got his head on straight, but that brunet!
