Odd, I missed this one for some reason when you posted it. I think it's my favorite of the series because it focuses on them as an equal couple and also plays up George Piper's kindness. And you're a brave person to bring the church into it. (I'm Methodist, some of our members still want to condem this.)

That is THE most beautiful, emotionally invested, carefully written story...

How interesting ... A Congregational Church ... a wise and wonderful pastor ... actually, how wonderful!

I am ordained clergy in the United Church of Christ (the Congregational Church is one of our predecessor denominations and my home church) ... we're the church that voted to support equality in marriage at our General Synod 25 last July (hell raiser's one and all!).

I've taken Illya and married him off to a clergy woman (how life immitates art?) ... which means the glorious Napoleon is out of luck ... but, I found it funny and enjoyable to see a thread between our stories ...

At any rate ... wonderful tale ... wonderful to see the horrid childhood so often ascribed to IK taken in another direction ... a positive direction ... and how wonderful to see IK find love with NS and still be loved by his father, George ...

If only real life worked so well ... at least some of us are trying ...

My stuff is found on File 40 ... The Mother Superior story arc ...

Thanks, so much, for your gift and sharing it with the rest of us ... More please!!!

Absolutely wonderful. I've read all four stories and it just was amazing. I recently discovered Man from Uncle through a few friends over at Livejournal and your fics are just amazing. I'm at a loss of words!

Oh my.....! I've read it through three times now, and I still find myself without the right words to express how it makes me feel. Very beautifully done, very touching and sensitive. The ending flows well from the previous parts of your series, and I, for one, am sad to see it end. You know that I am very much looking forward to more of your work. Thank you, thank you.......Francine
