Wow, I loved this story! The characterizations are absolutely spot-on, especially their senses of humor, which they never lose. What really makes it are the little details - UNCLE paperwork and Illya's system, the bets about their missions, and all the different ways Napoleon deals, or doesn't. And of course, Illya's unwavering support is just a thing of beauty.

Thanks for writing this story and posting it. Trust Napoleon to finally stop long enough to catch a clue and think something 180° from the correct idea.
Fortunately, Illya is capable of making his own handholds by any means necessary.

What a wonderful, complex, and poignant story. I'm an Illya girl, but must say I totally fell for Napoleon in this story. So very well written & characterized, you took a cliche plot and made it your own. I got misty-eyed and I just don't do that! The growth in the depth of their relationship was as natural as it was intense and beautiful. Sigh...thanks for a great read!

The guys are so much themselves in this, I could hear every word they spoke. I especially loved the wonderful scene with a drunken Napoleon being comforted by Illya. Not a false note in it! And the sex scene was incredible.
No easy outs, no pandering, no sentimentality, just NS and IK as we love them. Lovely story!

What a wonderfully rich, poignant story. Thank you for not taking the easy way out, with Napoleon miraculously returning to his former perfection. And thank you for an Illya loyal and loving and perfectly in character. This is just terrific.
